Our LaLiga Genuine team is on their way to Tarragona where, today afternoon a new edition of the competition will start. Today at noon, the realistas left from the Reale Arena stadium. They are very excited and willing to wear the shirt of the club of their lives. The txuri urdin team will play three matches and will face Granada, Osasuna and Valladolid respectively.
This season consists of six games, although each team will take part in four. The dates and host cities are as follows:
17 November, Tarragona
2 February, Seville
1 March, Seville
29 March, Las Palmas de Gran Canaria
26 April, Gijón
31 May, Bilbao.
Real Sociedad are taking part in LaLiga Genuine thanks to the collaboration between the Real Sociedad Foundation and ATZEGI (The Guipuzcoa Association for Persons with Intellectual Disability). The txuri urdin team will be sponsored by CIE Automotive.
LaLiga Genuine is a social responsibility initiative whose main objective is to standardise the practice of football within the ID collective and also to encourage professional football’s commitment to the project to ensure that every club in LaLiga have their own Genuine team. The league will be played in an eight-a-side format, with games split into four 10-minute parts. Classification will not just take into account results gained on the pitch but also the positive sporting attitudes shown during the games. In every match, teams will be awarded points for comportment and Fair Play shown by players, coaches and the fans.
